16:00 - 16:30 Illiquid investments in the new pension system

By Carl Kool, Head of Fiduciary Management Nederland, BlackRock

From an economic perspective, illiquid investments, such as mortgages, private equity, infrastructure and private credit, can also play an important role in the portfolio in the new pension contract with a view to achieving returns, diversification, inflation protection and ESG objectives. However, these investments are characterized by a higher degree of illiquidity which poses new challenges for investment policy under SPR and FPR.
