Optimising portfolios under the SPR (in Dutch)
Willem van Dommelen, Director, EMEA Pension Solutions, Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions, BlackRock Even under the Future Pensions Act, it remains essential to regularly reassess the strategic allocation of the investment portfolio. At the same time, the Act introduces a new legal and operational framework and changes the dynamics within pension portfolios. How can a pension fund ensure that the portfolio remains optimally structured while also complying with lifecycle choices? Which strategic trade-offs need to be made, and what are their implications? In this presentation, Willem van Dommelen explains the process applied by BlackRock for pension funds that have transitioned to the SPR and make use of the theoretical hedging return. Van Dommelen provides insight into how familiar investment principles remain intact, while also explaining why the legal framework and the chosen lifecycle will play a more explicitly steering role. A practical and up-to-date session for everyone involved in strategic investment policy under the Future Pensions Act. |
