Seminar: ‘Investing under the Wtp: Lessons from the Early Adopters – and What Comes After the Transition?’ - General
Seminar: ‘Investing under the Wtp: Lessons from the Early Adopters – and What Comes After the Transition?’
What can pension funds do to keep their funding ratio stable in the run-up to the Wtp transition? And what are pension funds actually doing in practice? What is the expected timing for reducing the interest-rate hedge?
What can we learn from the funds that will transition in early 2026 or have already completed the move? Why have a number of funds that initially intended to transition decided to postpone?
What are the experiences with DNB in the context of transition and conversion plans? How do you organise effective cooperation between the custodian, the pension administration organisation (PUO) and the fiduciary manager?
How should the portfolio be managed after the transition? Is there room for illiquid and complex investments? If so, how do you determine the allocation to these asset classes? What challenges arise, and what can be done now versus later?
How do you translate the assessed risk appetite into an actual investment policy for the different age cohorts?
These and other topical questions about the new pension system will be addressed during the educational session for pension funds on ‘Investing under the Wtp’, to be held on Monday, 23 March 2026, from 11.30 am to 5.15 pm, at the offices of MN in The Hague.
The session will be led by Paul de Geus, board member and supervisor at various pension funds, and an expert in asset management and risk management.
