Federated Hermes introduces UCITS version of quantitative US equity fund

Federated Hermes, Inc. (NYSE:FHI) has introduced the Federated Hermes MDT US Equity Fund, a UCITS version of its US-domiciled Federated Hermes MDT All Cap Core fund.
The fund applies MDT’s bottom-up quantitative approach and invests across the full market-capitalisation spectrum, using the Russell 3000 Index as its investment universe. Stock forecasts and portfolio positions are updated daily based on quantitative modelling, with oversight from the portfolio management team.
The US-domiciled strategy, which has been managed for more than 30 years, has received a 5-star Morningstar rating. The UCITS fund will be managed by Daniel Mahr, Head of MDT, together with Frederick Konopka, John Paul Lewicke and Damien Zhang.
The fund benchmarks against the Russell 3000 Index, representing about 98% of the US domestic equity market. The MDT All Cap Core strategy has in the past outperformed the Russell 3000 and S&P 500 over various time horizons.
This launch marks the 16th strategy introduced since Federated Hermes acquired Hermes in 2018. The UCITS version is domiciled in Dublin and registered for sale in the UK, Singapore, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. Registration in Switzerland is pending.
