“All in all, the figures show that a rapid and above all broad-based recovery is possible as soon as the restrictions are lifted. This underpins our optimism: although the winter could still be hard in view of the persistently high infection rates, the prospects for the second or at the latest third quarter of next year are excellent. The vaccines that will then be available should stabilize domestic demand; moreover, German industry should benefit from catch-up effects in foreign demand by then at the latest.”
