Global Head of Strategic Insights, Nuveen Real Assets
Abigail Dean is the Global Head of Strategic Insights for Nuveen Real Assets. In this role she is responsible for the organisation’s global sustainability, proptech and research functions. She is a member of both the Nuveen Real Estate and the Nuveen Real Assets Executive Leadership Team and has spearheaded the integration of sustainability considerations into the investment process. She is also leading the organisation to develop investment guidelines related to physical and transition climate change risk. She previously worked at JLL, as a Director in JLL’s sustainability consulting team, Upstream. Dean sits on several industry committees including the GRESB Standards Committee, chairs the INREV ESG committee and is a Better Buildings Partnership Board Member. -
Alex Neve

Alex Neve is an independent consultant focused on business development for alternative strategies (hedge funds, alternative credit, forestry, insurance-linked, impact private equity and real estate) for institutional clients. His firm, Hyferion Asset Management, was established 21 years ago to promote and develop hedge fund strategies. Since then, Neve has built up extensive experience in managing, selecting, designing and promoting a broad range of (alternative) strategies at organisations including APG Asset Management, Univest Company, Robeco and ABN AMRO Asset Management. -
Cameron Payne

Cameron Payne joined in 2015 and currently co-leads the firm’s mid-market primary and co-investing activity in Europe. Since joining, he has completed over 37 co-underwritten and syndicated co-investments across sectors and 20 primary investments across European buyout and growth equity and has extensive experience of working with first time funds and emerging managers. In addition, he is an LPAC member and Board Observer on several funds and direct investments. He previously worked in M&A with Royal Bank of Canada and Canaccord Genuity. Moulin’s extensive experience includes 14 years in M&A for leading banks (Morgan Stanley, Lazard, CACIB), 7 years as a Senior Executive Vice President in charge of Strategy and M&A in the industry (Areva and Orano) and nearly 3 years as part of Tikehau Capital’s Private Equity team. Moulin is also a member of the investment committee for AAP (Aerospace & Defence) and a Board member at Mecachrome, Aubert & Duval, ADDEV Materials and Satys. Mr. Mcilrath is a senior vice president and product strategist in the London office, focusing on alternative credit. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2024, he worked for Apollo Global Management in their product team and was responsible for alternative credit solutions for insurance, family office, and pension investors across EMEA. Previously, he worked for J.P. Morgan's credit team, focused on sponsor origination in Europe. Mcilrath has 11 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Nottingham, U.K. He is a CFA charterholder. -

Erik Leseman is an independent investment advisor. He is currently working as Interim Programme Manager at Achmea. Brindeau has 25+ years of experience including structured finance within Caisse d’Epargne Group, aircraft and rail finance at Crédit Agricole CIB, project finance at Dexia, where he set up and led the Workout and Special Situations team in 2012, with responsibility of overseeing a portfolio of diversified international holdings of stressed assets. Before joining Schroders, he also spent 3 years at the French Development Agency, focusing on emerging markets. Frédéric holds a Master’s degree in Management at Grande École Audencia Nantes and a Master's Degree in Corporate Finance and Financial Engineering at Paris Dauphine university. -

George Nijborg is Head of EU Private Placements & Insured Strategies at Aegon Asset Management. In this role, he leads the team responsible for government guaranteed, insured credit and corporate private placements. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for Goldman Sachs as an executive director in the debt capital markets (DCM) team in London, focusing on the origination and syndication of public, private and structured debt transactions. Before that, he worked as a director in the DCM team of Citigroup, and as an associate in the DCM team of Citigroup, and as an associate in the DCM team of Morgan Stanley in London. Nijborg has been in the industry since 2006 and joined the firm in 2020. He holds a Master’s degree in industrial relations from Warwick Business School. -

Markus Schaen recently joined BrandNewDay in Amsterdam where he works for the investment office and will be responsible for setting up and managing the return portfolio. Prior to his new role, he worked 18 years at MN as Principal Fixed Income. At MN, he was responsible for various products in the liquid and illiquid fixed income portfolio, he co designed investment strategies and executed several manager searches, i.e. for infrastructure debt, private debt, Dutch mortgages, EU & US investment grade and High Yield. Previously, he held positions at Maastricht University, Deloitte, Metro AG, Draka Holding, and Koninklijke Wegener NV. Schaen obtained his Master’s degree in Business Economics from Maastricht University, where he also completed the Postgraduate Accountancy programme. In addition, he pursued a Postgraduate degree in Treasury Management at VU Amsterdam and completed the Executive Pensions Programme at Nyenrode Business University. -
Marsha Sinninghe
Fund Manager, a.s.r. real estate
Marsha Sinninghe has been senior fund manager of the ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund at a.s.r. real estate since 2019. In this role, she is responsible for portfolio management, strategy development, investor relations, and capital raising. She is part of the fund management team of the Fund. She has over ten years of experience in real estate investment management and previously held various positions at Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance, including program manager and proposition manager. Sinninghe holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Groningen and a Master of Real Estate (MRE) from the Amsterdam School of Real Estate (ASRE), where she graduated cum laude. For her graduation research, she focused on impact investing, examining its role in the asset allocation of institutional investors and their preferences and requirements regarding its implementation. -

Menno van den Elsaker is Head of Alternative Credits and Mortgages at APG Asset Management. With investment teams based in Amsterdam and New York, he is responsible for all (internal and external) private and alternative credit investments across Europe and the United States. Operating under a broad investment mandate designed to generate added value over public credit markets, the team invests in strategies such as mortgages, specialty finance, structured credit, direct lending, non-performing loans and distressed debt. He is a member of APG’s Global Strategy & Management Team for Fixed Income and has over twenty years of investment experience. Prior to his current role, Van den Elsaker was responsible for European securitised investments. Pascal P. Böni is Professor of Practice in Finance & Private Markets at Tilburg Schol of Economics and Management. He is the managing director of Tilburg Institute for Private Debt (TiPD). Pascal is also Associate Professor of Finance at Tilburg University's business school TIAS. He also serves on the board of directors of several companies and the Swiss Association of Securities Firms (SASF). He previously acted on the board of various listed and unlisted national and international companies in the media, the energy, the IT and the financial services industry and advised some 100+ corporate finance and M&A transactions.
