Markus Königstein appointed as Global Head of Investment Management at Empira Group
Markus Königstein has been appointed as Global Head of Investment Management at Empira Group.
He will assume the newly created role of Global Head of Investment Management, driving forward the internationalisation of Empira Group’s investments in its key markets – Europe’s German-speaking countries – and in the USA.
Lahcen Knapp, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Empira Group, said: “Markus Königstein is an outstanding specialist in the field of institutional real estate investment, most recently being responsible for a portfolio of some €10 billion in equity and debt. As Global Head of our investment team with a cross-border focus, he will draw on his invaluable experience to identify the most attractive risk-reward profiles and make them accessible to our investors.”
Königstein has 28 years of relevant professional experience, most recently as Head of Real Estate and Infrastructure at R+V Insurance Group, where he had worked since 2003. Empira Group is delighted by this high-calibre appointment and wishes Markus Königstein much success as he starts his new role.
