Daniel Repfenning joins Polaris Private Equity as Director

Daniel Repfennig

Daniel Repfennig has joined Polaris Private Equity as Director on 1 April. He has most recently held a position as Investment Director at private equity firm Solix and has been based in Copenhagen from 2018, overseeing several of the firm’s Swedish deals.

Prior to that, Daniel Repfennig worked at Nordic investment firm Ratos after beginning his career as a consultant with Arthur D. Little AB in Stockholm. He holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and simultaneously completed his economics education from Stockholm University.

Martin Bang-Löwgren has been appointed Head of Sustainability at Polaris. Martin Bang-Löwgren has been part of Polaris’ investment team since 2009, and he has worked with a number of portfolio companies during that period. He will coordinate Polaris’ sustainability efforts and cooperate closely with Polaris’ investment teams during the investment process and subsequently supporting the portfolio companies.

Polaris announces five additional appointments as Thorsten Spurr Madsen has been appointed Director, Joachim Satchwell has been appointed Associate Director, Nicolai Vennekilde has been appointed Associate Director, Philip Dithmer has been appointed Investment Manager, and Gustav Brobert has been appointed Investment Manager.

Thorsten Spurr Madsen joined Polaris in 2015, and he holds an MBA from IMD Business School a M.Sc., Finance and Accounting, from Copenhagen Business School. Joachim Satchwell has been with Polaris since January 2013 and holds a M.Sc., Finance and Accounting, and a B.Sc., International Business from Copenhagen Business School. Nicolai Vennekilde has been with Polaris since 2020 and holds a M.Sc., Applied Economics and Finance, and a B.Sc., Business Administration and Economics, Copenhagen Business School. Philip Dithmer joined Polaris in 2018, and he holds a M.Sc., Engineering Management, and a B.Sc., Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Gustav Brobert has been with Polaris since February 2020 and has a M.Sc., Real Estate Investment, Cass Business School and a M.Sc., Corporate Finance, and B.Sc., Business Law, Lund University.
