Columbia Threadneedle Investment Strengthens Global Investment Solutions Team
Columbia Threadneedle Investments (Columbia Threadneedle), a leading global asset management group, has strengthened its Global Investment Solutions team with the appointment of Dr. Stuart Jarvis as Senior Research Director. Stuart is based in London and reports to Lorenzo Garcia, Head of EMEA & APAC Investment Solutions.
Stuart bring 22 years of investment and actuarial experience, including a 15-year career at BlackRock, where he most recently was a Managing Director in the Portfolio Research Group within the BlackRock Investment Institute, responsible for portfolio construction and capital market assumptions research as well as for modelling customised solutions for pension plans, central banks and sovereign wealth funds. Prior to that role, Stuart was instrumental in the creation of their Liability Driven Investment business. Earlier in his career Stuart was a pensions consultant at Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow (now Aon Hewitt). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and holds advanced degrees in mathematics from Cambridge University and Oxford University. He is an acknowledged thought leader on the subject of stochastic modelling and asset allocation.
