Professor Christian Schmitt has joined the German team of Avida International as Senior Adviser.
Dr Dorothee Franzen, Managing Director of Avida International GmbH in München said: “We are delighted to have Christian on our team. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in investment and risk management to Avida, which will help us to further improve our services for clients”. Christian will help corporates and pension funds find the best fitting solutions for their investment processes and evaluate investment and risk management options. He will also help financial service providers optimise their product strategies.
In March 2019, Christian was appointed professor for business administration at Hochschule der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (HDBW) in Munich. Christian holds 20+ years of experience in asset management and investment banking with risklab, Deutsche Bank, and a fin tech. He is a former Managing Director at risklab, the investment and risk advisory expert of Allianz Global Investors, with long-standing expertise in advising clients on asset allocation, asset-liability management and risk management.
Christian holds a ”Diplom“ in industrial engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a PhD from University of Mannheim. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
