Bart Heenk, Managing Director said: “We are absolutely delighted that Sarah will be joining our UK team. Sarah is a real thought leader, who never takes the status quo for granted. She was also our first client in the UK when we started here five years ago and I think we must have done something right that she is now joining us”.
In addition to her role at Avida, Sarah is Chair of TPT Retirement Solutions, and Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee for The Pensions Regulator. She also chairs the Financial Times Pensions Governance Committee.
Sarah is passionate about making the financial services industry work better for the people it serves and regularly takes part in industry initiatives for the development of the pensions industry. This has included chairing the ‘Collective DC’ section of the DWP’s ‘Defined Ambition’ initiative and being a member of the FCA’s Institutional Disclosure Working Group.
Previously Sarah worked in the investment management industry with Standard Life Investments, where she specialised in liability driven investment, absolute return funds and product development. Sarah has also held a number of previous trustee roles with both private and public sector schemes. Sarah is a Chartered Accountant by training.
