AXA Investment Managers today announced the appointment of Francisco Arcilla as Global Head of AXA Funds of Hedge Funds (AXA FoHF) effective 3 October, 2011. Francisco will be responsible for the overall leadership of AXA IM’s FoHF platform and accelerate its development as a provider of tailor made investment solutions in the hedge fund space. Francisco will be based in London and report to Thibaud de Vitry, Global Head of AXA IM’s Investment Solutions business and member of the AXA IM Management Board. Francisco will be a member of the AXA IM Executive Committee.  Following the financial crisis and ensuing market volatility, AXA FoHF has continued to build its investor base, reaching assets under management of €4 billion as at end June 2011. Francisco’s appointment will add to the momentum behind the business which will continue to aim at delivering solutions that provide diversified returns and minimisation of downside risks via active manager selection and stringent due diligence and risk management.
