Fidelity International has announced that Chris McNickle will join the company in June as Global Head of Institutional. This is a new position with responsibility for delivering Fidelity International’s global institutional strategy for growth in conjunction with local institutional teams across Europe and Asia Pacific. He will report to Robert Higginbotham, CEO Europe. Chris McNickle joins from Greenwich Associates, the international investment research consultancy, where he is a Managing Director and has been head of the investment management practice. He has spent 14 years with Greenwich and prior to this he worked for a number of financial services firms in the US, including Prudential Retirement Services and J.P. Morgan. Commenting on the appointment, Robert Higginbotham said: “Fidelity International has ambitious plans to grow its institutional business significantly over the coming years. Chris has a considerable understanding of the global institutional market place as well as extensive knowledge of the pension funds industry and the retirement systems within the world’s major markets. The combination of his experience and our existing strong institutional teams makes us very well placed to achieve our growth objectives.” The appointment is subject to the usual regulatory approvals. |
